Terpenes play an important role in the aroma and flavour of cannabis strains. Terpenes are what make certain strains smell or taste different from others. Sweeteners can be added as a flavour enhancer.
Your weeds will start with a single terpene added, you will be able to add a second terpene to change its flavour and aroma by creating your own sweeteners.
Terpenes | Potency | Aroma & Flavour |
---|---|---|
Caryophyllene | +1 | Peppery, Bitey |
Myrcene | Spicy, Herbal | |
Pinene | Pine | |
Linalool | Floral | |
Limonene | Lemon, Sour | |
Geraniol | Sweet, Smokey | |
Valencene | Orange, Citrus | |
Eucalyptol | Eucalyptus | |
Humulene | Woody, Earthy |
Example: The default terpene added to the Grim Reaper Weed is Myrcene, this terpene has spicy herbal tones.
If you want to spice up your weed even more you will be able to add a secondary terpene called Caryophyllene that will give peppery, bitey flavours and aromas and create your own unique flavoured weeds as per the terpenes reference above.
The Weed now has these terpenes.
Terpenes: Myrcene 51%, Caryophyllene 49%
Spicy, Herbal, Peppery, Bitey
These new recipes will be updated soon in the recipe book and the new Grim Reaper seed will be available shortly. You can check the status of these updates on the Grim Reaper Beta page
Note: That terpenes and sweeteners are still in development / beta stage and may change.
