Solar panels provide power for Weeds lighting and Irrigation systems. The solar panels must be on the same group to add power to your pumps and lighting. You can use other peoples solar to power your lights and irrigation pumps but all must be on the same group. Lights should be no more than 3 meters above your weeds.
How The Lights Work
When a light is placed above your weed plants, the light will check every hour to see if any plants exist, when this happens a small amount of power is deducted from your light. The solar panels then replaces the energy in your lights, if your lights fall below 0.5Kw, the light is no longer recognized and the weeds float text will change to show you if its seen by the lights, artificial or natural
As a general guide it is recommend you do not place too many weeds under your lights, until power reaches its maximum of 5Kw. Then slowly place more weeds under your lights over a period of time. The more solar panels you have the more energy is generated and passed to the lights and irrigation pumps.
How Many Solar Panels Will I Need
You will always need 1 solar panel per irrigation pump and 3 or 4 solar panels per 8 to 10 weeds placed under 1 light. The more weeds you add the more panels you may need, refer to the lights float text. You will need to allow a few hours to ensure the lights power is raising consistently.
Will I need this many solar panels per Light
No, solar panels and lights work as a group and the solar panels pass power to all your lights at once.
harvesting rewards
Adding lights to your weeds gains you extra harvests, your fist harvest will always be at 10 days, then 7 to 8 days there after provided you keep them under the lights. If you place lights above your weeds after 10 days or your first harvest, you will need to wait the full 10 days before the extra harvests become available.
The Hud Icon
You can toggle the lighting affect from the HUD to either grow lights or the standard white lights. This is only a cosmetic effect and does not affect the lights, as they are always on.
